Bas-relief of two groups of standing men and women (one seated woman at right), facing each other, with Benjamin Franklin near the center. Represents Franklin's reception by the King of France, Louis XVI. Cast copper alloy relief with gold-toned surface; possibly bright dipped or fire gilded. Signed and inscribed on lower left corner: "Frederic Brou 1906" and "I Hess & Fils Fondeurs." Possibly a copy of c. 1897 original by artist, cast for the statue of Benjamin Franklin presented to Paris 27 April 1906.
